Winter weddings seem to be becoming more and more popular. First wedding of 2011 was last Friday! I've just returned from recharging my batteries with some very well deserved sunshine in South Africa, and I am straight back into photography. When its a venue like Glenskirlie, and a lovely couple like Kay and Gordon I really can't complain.Glenskirlie Castle is just beautiful and it was great to get outdoors for a few shots despite the cold. Kay and Gordon are made for each other, the spark between them was obvious and so lovely to see. Kay's dress was just stunning, very different, I loved it, and her choice of colour for her bridesmaid perfectly matched the stained glass window in Glenskirlie Castle, making for fabulous images.
Kay and Gordon, I hope you both had a very special day with your family and friends, some who had obviously travelled a very long way north into the Scottish winter!
I'm looking forward to another busy year with Special Day Memories - weddings, portaits and maybe a few more "cherish" shoots. Hope my brides to be are listening! And if any of my brides from last year are interested in wearing their dress again, please get in touch, it really is a great day, and who really needs an excuse to wear that dress again?
