Stephanie - Cherish the Dress in Paisley

What a fabulous day out in Paisley with Stephanie today when she wore her dress again for us to take more stunning images of her in a different location.

Scotland is beautiful in spring time and Paisley has some striking historic locations. We were so lucky to have an opportunity to bring together a great model, warm weather and iconic venues.

We love working with brides on their wedding day, but when you come back for more images shot in a different environment, we know that we have made a connection and it allows us  to be creative and shoot images in a fun relaxing atmosphere to get the best out of you.

We believe this shows in the images that we create.

Dianne and Barry, Park Circus and the Dalmeny Park Hotel

The wedding rooms at Glasgow's 22 Park Circus are just so beautiful. They are definitely one of the more special registry office venues. I am always pleased to photograph here, and if the weather is good there is always Kelvingrove Park near by, although, I have to say, the locations for shots inside 22 Park Circus are just fabulous. It is such a shame that the city is losing this lovely facility.

We were spoilt for choice on Saturday because the weather stayed dry and and the light was good, so we got beautiful indoor and outdoor shots both at Park Circus and then back Dalmeny Park, again! Thanks again Charlie and Bill for making me welcome.

But the day belonged to Dianne and Barry, lovely people and so into wanting photographs. A pleasure to work for and no complaining about the cold, not once. Enjoy these photographs, enjoy Cancun and I look forward to sharing all your photographs when you get back.

Carolanne & David, Dalmeny Park Country House Hotel

Carolanne and David had a lovely wedding ceremony in the Drawing room at the Dalmeny Park Hotel which included a sand ceremony. A sand ceremony is where the bride and groom take turns to fill a vase with different colour sand, thereby symbolising the joining together of two people, mixing and entertwining into one, forever. Each Bride and Groom create their own pattern of sand using the colours of their choice and producing a beautiful vase of colour for display in their home and as a memory of their union and this wonderful day.

Despite the cold wind, the weather was beautiful and sun shone, so we did get some fabulous images in the extensive grounds of Dalmeny Park Hotel. Carolanne and David were such a happy couple and I didnt see them stop smiling and laughing the whole day.

Here are a few special photos from their day for you to enjoy.

Claire & Colin, The Lynnhurst Hotel, 6 March 2011

Claire and Colin had a wonderful day at the Lynnhurst Hotel in Johnston. The Lynnhurst Hotel was refurbished about 18 months ago and is now a lovely venue for a wedding with many photographic opportunities inside and out. Claire looked beautiful with her hair clasped to one side and curls falling gently over one shoulder.
The colours Claire & Colin chose for their wedding day looked fabulous in the photographs as you can see by this image of "the boys". The light outside was perfect and so Claire, her bridesmaids and even the guests ventured out for outdoor photographs despite the bitterly cold conditions! Thank you Girls!

Laura & Alan, Eastwood House, Saturday 5 March 2011

I photographed Laura's sister Emma's wedding at Eastwood House some 18 months ago. To be asked back to the same venue to photograph Laura was a compliment, it was lovely to meet up with the families again and even to recognise guests, it made us feel so part of the day. But, photographing a sister at the same venue brings with it its own pressures, such as providing Laura & Alan with photographs which reflect their individuality and depict the atmosphere that made their day special, without replicating shots from Emma and Gary's day.

I didn't need to worry, although the venue was the same and Emma was Laura's bridesmaid this time, both weddings were delightfully unique and reflected the personalities of each couple. Eastwood House and the grounds are beautiful in September but look quite different now in March and I have to say, it's a beautiful venue any time of the year with photographic opportunities both inside and out!

Laura and Alan were completely relaxed having great fun on their very special day as you can see when Alan corked a bottle of champagne to celebrate.

I hope you enjoy these 2 taster images!
