Linlithgow Palace is a stunning venue for a wedding ceremony and particularly for photographs. One could spend hours getting wonderful photographs from the dramatic to the romantic, but generally, on the day, we dont always have the time that we want. However, despite the short time on the day, we got some amazing images of Karen and Brian.

Gwenn & Davids wedding at Oran Mor was something with a difference. The weather was awful so all the pics were indoors but the stained glass windows and the old building made for some very effective images.

Ashleigh & Michaels St Mirin Cathedral wedding made for some stunning ceremony images with this wide angle image being one of my favourites. Also a brilliant shot of Dad giving Ash away to Michael - loved the unspoken communication between the three.

Michelle & John Michael; definitely the wedding which had the furthest to travel between the ceremony and the reception, from kirkintilloch all the way to Lochgreen House hotel in Troon, but it was well worth the trip!! The day started out wet and wild in Kirkintillich and turned to bright sunshine in ayreshire. The couple had a wonderful day with a variety of photographs both inside and outside. Both Bride and Groom worked hard to give us their very best for their photographs and they were rewarded with some beautiful award winning shots.

Emma & Kennedy had some wild weather on their wedding day and despite a very late start to the ceremony, we managed to get some great images inbetween downpours and dramatic weather conditions.

Lorna & Alan had a lovely ceremony & reception outside at Duck Bay Marina. We took them onto Duck Bays beach for photographs which was lovely with Ben Lomond making a scenic backdrop to their group photographs. They have a stunning album just waiting their sign-off.

Mark & Angela's Paisley Abbey wedding ceremony was stunning and the couple were a joy to photograph. The reception at Burnhouse gave them a good variety of environments for photographs and we ended up with a huge selection of prints. The wind came up during their Burnhouse photoshoot making for some interesting veil shots.

Mark and Carol-Annes Paisley wedding was small and intimate and we got some lovely images at the walled garden in Barshaw Park.

Stacey & Martin enjoyed the worst rainfall in the shortest time on their Paisley wedding day. Despite all the images being taken indoors, we still ended up with some wonderful photographs of a handsome couple.

Angela & Stuart chose Sherbrooke Castle for their wedding which was perfect for them. They were a fun couple who were keen to get a good album and so they were easy to work with. We managed to get some great couple photographs inside and outside (between showers) but my favourite has to be of Angela on her own in the alcove!

Although I am a big fan of the kilt, it was a pleasant change to see the guys in something different!

Emma and Chris got married on a wet and windy October afternoon in Ballachuilish. The hotel was romanticly lit with low lighting which was wonderful for the atmosphere but very difficult for our photography. Despite the difficult conditions, the couple were fantastic and we got some amazing photographs on their very special day.

Paisley Abbey wedding photographs are never quite the same because of the lighting in and around the Abbey - sometimes you are lucky to get a shot like this just because of the way the sunlight falls on the day (and of course because we are very good photographers, ha ha), but this same sunlight can make other photographs and video very difficult, calling for a lot of improvisation at the time. It just means that each couple get an individualised package on their special day, sometimes never to be repeated again. Tracey and Kevin made wonderful models on this very sunny day and we got some magic photographs!

A season wouldnt be complete without a few Castle weddings. Caryn and Brians Ceremony at Dundonald Castle was made even more special by their clebrant and her hand-tie ceremony which Caryn and Brian personalised with their vows - a lovely touch!

Elaine & Lee celebrated in style at Dalmeny Park Hotel with cigars and champagne and a ceremony outside despite the threatening black clouds hanging about. They were a very happy couple and their day was personalised every step of the way. The sand ceremony was an interesting addition to their ceremony.

Scott and Jennifer had a lovely wedding day in the Macdonald Crutherland hotel. Jennifer was very stylish and chic in the "bride being lifted up" photo!
On the other hand, Scott was a bit less stylish opening up his bottle of champagne over most of the photographers and videographers! Just as well we were almost finished anyway. Well done Scott :-)

Barry & Linda's Wedding day; bright sunshine at a wonderful venue. She looked beautiful in her "sleeping beauty" style wedding dress, which made for gorgeous photos in the setting sun!
